About the Instructor

All classes are taught by Elaine Bitting. Elaine received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing & Painting at California State University Long Beach and her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Teaching from Boston University. She has more than twenty years experience as an art educator: art teacher at Oklahoma City & Edmond Public Schools, Director of Arts in Education for the Oklahoma State Department of Education, art instructor at several local universities and colleges, and most recently Assistant Professor and Art Department Chair at Oklahoma City University.
While teaching at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Community College, and Oklahoma City University, Elaine developed and executed the curriculum for the following courses:
